Errol Schmidt Athletic Center, St. George’s School

St. George’s School is an independent K-12 school with a 50-year history of extraordinary education. The 29,000 SF Errol Schmidt Athletic Facility project presented several unique challenges for Lydig. Perhaps the greatest challenge was the foundation of the new gym. The design called for many concrete-filled steel piles. After much research, Lydig proposed an innovative alternative piling system that saved the school over $300,000.
