Mountainside Middle School
Mead, Washington
Mountainside Middle School is the latest addition to the Mead School District’s line-up of state-of-the-art facilities. This 112,000 sf facility was built in 18 months. The project remained on schedule through one of the worst winters in Spokane history due to great teamwork between the Owner, NAC Architecture, Lydig Construction and a quality group of subcontractors. The school is constructed using steel frame and CMU block with brick veneer. Intricate detail was included in all aspects of the masonry including corbeling elements throughout to give additional visual interest to the building. This project received the 2008 Build Northwest Award from the Inland Northwest AGC.
